Floating Words
Interactive installation, 2002
Through a voice-recognition system located within a cone (bottom left), your voice becomes water and drips into the pool, turning into "letters" that float around like leaves in a pond. You can then stir the words with a wand, and letters can be lifted up with a ladle and poured out again. This work "stirred" many feelings: delight, renewal, fascination. It made me feel like an innocent child at play.
